The 30A Songwriters Festival weekend is one of the most magical weekends of the year for us. This is the 8th year we have attended the festival and my husband also plays every year. If you’ve never been, it’s the most fabulous way to spend a weekend in January in one of the most beautiful […]
You know that saying “it takes a village”? Well these days, it seems like our Mom Tribes have gotten pretty sparse. With people living farther away from their families and everyone having insanely busy schedules, it can be difficult to find the support that we all need sometimes. The New Year is here! Yay! Insert New Years dance! Where did 2017 even go?! I’m always asking myself: what can I do differently in the new year? I never would have guessed that bringing my seven year in for an orthodontist check up was something I needed to do. She’s only in first grade! I had lost my baby teeth, had some others pulled, and was headed straight into the awkward teen years before I even thought about braces.
And just like that, fall is right around the corner! Not sure how that happened. When you live at the beach, FALL means the best of both worlds in some ways (unless you’re all about leaves changing, then maybe not so much). Even though we’re flipping through that autumn-hued Pottery Barn magazine with everyone else, […]
He would chase me around the house, call me names and spy on my friends and me. I wasn’t innocent either, after all, we were siblings. He got me and I got him. There was one time, I think I was 14 and he was 11, while I was on the bed minding my own […]
