4th of July

The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. I don’t know if it’s the food, the festive atmosphere, or that killer speech at the end of Independence Day, but I look forward to it every year (seriously, does that movie ever get old???).

Obviously, the highlight of the day is the 4th of July fireworks and there are no shortage of places to catch the shows on the Emerald Coast. You’ll get a great seat at any public beach access (Grayton Beach is my personal favorite), but if you’re looking for something a little closer to the action, here are some of the premier spots in our little slice of paradise.

Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa Island

Fort Walton Beach Landing – Activities start at 4:00, fireworks start at 8:45.
