4th of July Fireworks Guide

4th of July

The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. I don’t know if it’s the food, the festive atmosphere, or that killer speech at the end of Independence Day, but I look forward to it every year (seriously, does that movie ever get old???).

Obviously, the highlight of the day is the 4th of July fireworks and there are no shortage of places to catch the shows on the Emerald Coast. You’ll get a great seat at any public beach access (Grayton Beach is my personal favorite), but if you’re looking for something a little closer to the action, here are some of the premier spots in our little slice of paradise.

Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa Island

Fort Walton Beach Landing – Activities start at 4:00, fireworks start at 8:45.

July 3 Okaloosa Island Pier – Bring your lawn chair for the fireworks show 9:00 or you can watch from the beach.

July 3 Destin Commons Smoke On The Coast  – Kick off your 4th of July celebrations early at the Destin Commons! Activities start at 5:00, including live music from the Forrest Williams Band and Heritage. The fireworks show starts at 9:00.

Fireworks on the Destin Harborwalk – Live music by Eli Hannon and The Manly Hero at 7:00 and the fireworks start at 9:00.

You can also watch everything from Crab Island on a rental from Island Watersports Company

Miramar Beach/Sandestin

Red,White, & Baytowne – Festivities kick off at 6:00 with lawn games, inflatables, kids crafts, and face painting. The Will Thompson band starts at 7:00 and fireworks begin at 9:15.

July 4th BBQ at Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina – Activities begin at 6:00 with barbeque favorites, live entertainment, face painting, bounce house and more! The fireworks show begins at 9:00. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Solaris Sunset Cruisemust make reservations in advance

Santa Rosa Beach

Seaside Ampitheatre – Live music by Sister Hazel is from 5:30-8:30, with fireworks to follow.

Alys Beach Ampitheatre– Rhythm Nation will play from 6:00-9:00, fireworks will start after the concert.

Rosemary Beach – bring your blankets or lawn chairs for live music from The “Like” Total Hep Cats at 6:00, and stay for the fireworks show starting at 9:00.

There you have it! Wherever you decide to watch the fireworks, we wish you a happy and safe 4th of July!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to check out my post. I only included events that have a fireworks show, but there is a concert happening at The Hub! There are more details about their event on their Facebook page and website. Thanks again! Happy 4th!
