Where To Play On 30A

Where to play

School is back in session, holidays are around the corner, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t still on the lookout for fun adventures we can enjoy with our littles. Although my child is not yet ambulatory (hey there stroller mama), you better believe I’m taking mental notes on all the splash pads and playgrounds that have been recently constructed, as well as fun new eateries to try. Old and new, here is a compiled list of what I have come across :

Inlet Beach: Donut Hole cornhole lawn games and laid back porch sitting. Whoever loses buys a baker’s dozen ?!

Rosemary Beach: Splash Pad and several lawns for running off all the energy we accidentally consumed at the Sugar Shack.

Alys Beach: A recent outdoor play place renovation adjacent to Fonville Press. Let the mommas catch up over coffee while our tots play on the pretty green. Alys also has a splash pad on the green for those sunny days north of 90 degrees.

The Hub: With football playing on the big screen every weekend, grass (well, faux grass but it’s still great), and all kinds of food options, this is a great place for mom and dad to take a load off while the kids run, play or (in my case) crawl around. Super stroller friendly too!

Grayton Beach: If you haven’t heard already, Black Bear Bread Co.  lives up to the hype. Their menu boasts yummy pastries and specialty coffees in addition to hearty savory meals for those days when you need extra ammunition.

Gulf Place: A delicious new ice cream parlor by the name Pecan Jack’s has our hearts. They encourage sampling several flavors which is SUPERB customer service I do declare!

This is only a short but sweet list of what I have uncovered in recent months. Let us know about your favorite spots along 30A that help break up the monotony of routine. Happy playing!
