Making A Halloween Jack-O’-Lantern, Florida Style

0

Living in Florida I’ve realized that my Fall dreams of changing leaves, hoodies, and bonfires with hot cocoa just aren’t coming true anytime soon. And when I buy pumpkins and mums for my garden too early, they definitely will rot because it’s too hot.  (Hey that rhymes!)  So when in Rome, right?!  Since I love enjoying pineapple all year long, I decided to carve a jack-o-lantern out of a pineapple instead of a pumpkin. If you have a spare 10-15 minutes, it’s a total Florida Fall win.  Perfect as a Halloween centerpiece, and it’s super easy to make!

Pineapple JackPINEAPPLE JACK-O’-LANTERN

  1. Cut off bottom
  2. Cut out pineapple chunks inside
  3. Cut out two triangle eyes
  4. Cut out zigzag smile
  5. Add candle or battery operated candle
  6. Place on dish
  7. Turn out light
  8. Enjoy!

I mean…RIGHT?!!  Where have these been all your life? 🙂  Obviously you can create any face or message you want. I’d love to see you recreate it and make it your own!  Make sure to tag @Destin30AMomsBlog and me @_thebeachyblonde_  so we can see your Halloween creations! ??

So quick and easy, and the kids love it too! Nothing says Florida Halloween quite like a pineapple jack-o’-lantern. Happy pineapple carving everyone!
